The scheme “Financial Assistance to Persons Suffering from Rare Diseases” was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Haryana. It applies to those suffering from diseases defined in the National Policy for Rare Diseases, 2021.

Benefits

Monthly financial assistance of ₹3,000/- starting from 01.01.2024.

Eligibility

• Domicile and bonafide resident of Haryana.
• No age restrictions.
• Annual family income less than ₹3,00,000/-.
• Diagnosed at a notified ‘Centre of Excellence’ (CoE).
• Must possess a Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID).

Application Process

• Step 01: Visit Antyodaya-SARAL Portal: https://saralharyana.gov.in/
• Step 02: Register and login.
• Step 03: Search for the Rare Diseases scheme and apply using Family ID.
• Step 04: Upload mandatory documents and submit.

Documents Required

• Age Proof (Birth Certificate/School Certificate/Voter Card)
• Residential Proof (issued prior to 15 years)
• Aadhaar Card, Saving Bank account details
• Diagnosis report from CoE
