The scheme “Financial Assistance to Old Age Pensioner Suffering From TB/ Cancer” by the Department of Women & Child Development, Government of Puducherry, extends a monthly assistance of ₹500/- to meet medical expenses for vulnerable pensioners.

Benefits

• ₹500/- per month in addition to the standard old age pension.

Eligibility

• Citizen of India, aged 60 years or above.
• Must be an existing Old Age Pensioner or Destitute Pensioner.
• Must be medically certified as suffering from T.B. or Cancer.

Application Process

Offline

• Step 1: Obtain the form from the Department of Women and Child Development.
• Step 2: Fill the form and attach a medical certificate and a photocopy of the pension book.
• Step 3: Submit to the Deputy Director (Women Development) or Child Development Project Officer.

Documents Required

• Aadhaar Card.
• Residence and Income Certificates.
• Medical Certificate from a Government Hospital/Institution.
• Photocopy of the Old Age Pension Book.
