This scheme supports children with multiple disabilities or mental retardation who require constant care and cannot attend school.

Benefits

  • Monthly assistance of ₹2150/- (w.e.f. April 2023).
  • Beneficiaries automatically transition to a handicapped pension after age 18.

Eligibility

  • Age 0-18 years, residing in Haryana for 3+ years.
  • Medical criteria: Mental Retardation (IQ <50 or 70%+ disability), Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Multiple Disabilities (70%+), or 100% Orthopedic disability (Myopathy, Paraplegic, Quadriplegia).
  • Family income must be below Minimum Wages.
  • Exclusion: Cannot be combined with Scholarships or other Handicapped Pension schemes.

Application Process

Offline/Online: Visit the DSWO office to collect/download the form. Submit the filled, attested form with required documents to the DSWO.

Documents Required

Birth Certificate/Affidavit for age, Residence proof (5 years), Medical Certificate from Civil Surgeon, Aadhaar Card, Photos, Bank details, Family ID, Income Certificate.
