“Financial Assistance to Mussel Culture and Oyster Farming in Goa” is a scheme by the Department of Fisheries, Government of Goa. Through this scheme, financial assistance is provided to eligible fishermen for setting up units in estuarine waters, and in open sea. The applications are accepted only in offline mode.

Benefits

• Setting Up of Unit in Estuarine Waters: 50% subsidy limited to ₹ 25,000 per unit, maximum for 2 units. (Unit size: 4m x 4m).
• Setting Up of Unit in Open Sea: 50% limited to ₹ 40,000 per unit, maximum for 2 units. (Unit size: 6m x 6m).

Eligibility

• The applicant should be a Fish Farmer/ Individual/ Registered Self Help Groups/ Societies/ Associations, interested in setting up the Mussel Culture/ Oyster Farming Unit in Goa.
• The applicant should be a resident of Goa for the last fifteen years.
• The applicant should have undergone a training programme on Mussel Culture/ Oyster Farming organized by the Fisheries Department/ MPEDA/ ICAR/ any other institute.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant should take print of the prescribed format of the application form.
Step 2: Fill in mandatory fields, paste a passport-sized photograph (signed across), and attach self-attested copies of documents.
Step 3: Submit to the Department of Fisheries, Patto Colony, Panaji, or at BDO Sub-Offices.

Grievance Redressal

Complaints can be sent to the Grievance Redressal Officer or dir-fish.goa@nic.in. Acknowledgement and action within 30 days.

2. Land Availability Proof (Owners: Land Deed, Form 1 & 14; Lessee: NOC, Lease Agreement).
3. Proof of Availability of Finance.
4. Detailed Project Report.
5. NOC from Concerned Authority (for River/Open Sea).
6. Certificate of Experience and Expenditure Details.
7. Design/Layout of Unit and Mandate Form.
