The scheme “Financial Assistance to Dairy Farmers Belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste for Purchase of Basic Dairy Equipments” was launched by the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to provide assistance for the purchase of basic dairy equipments needed for small scale dairy farming and to encourage tribal population to adopt Animal Husbandry activities.

Benefits

  • 100% subsidy shall be provided for dairy items of general use.
  • Maximum amount: ₹30,000/- or actual cost, whichever is lower.
  • The subsidy is a one-time assistance per family.

Maximum Permissible Subsidy per Item:

  • Stainless Steel Cans (20L): ₹3,800/- (up to 2 units).
  • 500 Liters Water Tanks: ₹3,500/- (1 unit).
  • Calf Nipple Bucket: ₹1,500/- (1 unit).
  • Spray Pump (15L): ₹2,000/- (1 unit).
  • Steel Buckets: ₹2,200/- (up to 2 units).
  • 0.5 HP Water Pump: ₹5,000/- (1 unit).
  • Ceiling Fans: ₹4,000/- (up to 2 units).
  • Steel Vessels (5L): ₹900/- (up to 2 units).
  • Spade: ₹250/- (1 unit).
  • Grooming Brush: ₹400/- (up to 2 units).
  • Gamelas: ₹500/- (up to 2 units).
  • Nylon Rope: ₹400/- (for 2.5 kg).
  • Sickle: ₹250/- (1 unit).
  • Pickaxe: ₹300/- (1 unit).
  • Rubber mat: ₹5,000/- (up to 2 units).

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a resident of Goa for at least five preceding years.
  • Applicant must belong to the SC or ST Community.
  • Applicant must be a Dairy Farmer with at least two milch animals (Cows or Buffaloes).

Exclusion

  • Must not have availed subsidy under any other government scheme for the same equipment.
  • Prior availment by a family member excludes the applicant.

Application Process

Offline:

Step 1: Take a printout of the prescribed proforma.

Step 2: Fill the form and attach self-attested copies of mandatory documents.

Step 3: Submit the application to the local Veterinary Officer or Assistant Director.

Step 4: The officer verifies and forwards the application to the Directorate within 15 days.

Post-Approval Processes

Step 1: Purchase the equipment after approval. Submit original receipts/bills within 90 days.

Step 2: Verification and inspection will be carried out by the officer.

Step 3: Subsidy will be credited to the bank account within 60 days of completed documentation.

  • Aadhar Consent Form.
  • Five Years Residential Certificate.
  • Two Passport Size Photographs.
  • Notarised Affidavit (declaring non-availment of subsidy elsewhere).
  • Copy of Ration Card and Bank Passbook.

  • Original Purchase Receipts (post-approval).
