Overview

The “Financial Assistance for the Treatment of Blind, Disabled, Deaf, Dumb, or Mentally Challenged Ex-Servicemen and their Dependents (Wife and Children)” scheme was launched by the Department of Sainik Welfare, Government of Rajasthan. The scheme provides monthly assistance for ex-servicemen (Havildar and below) and dependents with 40%+ disability suffering from serious illnesses (cancer, leprosy, TB, kidney/cardiac ailments, paralysis, etc.). Effective from 01.07.2020.

Benefits

Financial Assistance:

  • 80% and above disability: ₹3,000/- per month (First Priority)
  • 60% to <80% disability: ₹2,000/- per month (Second Priority)
  • 40% to <60% disability: ₹1,000/- per month (Third Priority)

Note: Assistance is provided for three years. Disbursed online through District Sainik Welfare Office. Max 2 family members per ex-serviceman.

Eligibility

  • Native of Rajasthan.
  • Ex-serviceman (Havildar or below) or dependent family member (wife/widow, son/daughter). Parents excluded.
  • Disability of 40% or more.
  • Both pensioner and non-pensioners eligible. Ex-servicemen already receiving disability pension from the Army cannot apply for themselves but can apply for a family member.
  • Disability valid regardless of when it occurred.
  • Must be recorded in discharge book or Part II Order.
  • Recommendation from DSWO is mandatory.

  • Step 1: Visit District Sainik Welfare Office or download the form from the website.
  • Step 2: Fill mandatory fields and attach documents.
  • Step 3: Submit to District Sainik Welfare Office.
  • Step 4: Request a receipt.
  • Renewal: Beneficiaries must reapply every three years.
