The scheme “Financial Assistance as Shagun in Marriage of Man Workers or Son of Workers” was started by the Haryana Labour Welfare Board (HLWB) to reduce the financial pressure on workers during their own or their sons’ marriages.

Benefits

Financial assistance of ₹21,000/- is provided as Shagun for the marriage of workers’ sons (up to two) and for the self-marriage of unmarried male workers.

Eligibility

  • Employed in an industrial or commercial establishment in Haryana.
  • Registered with the Haryana Labour Welfare Board with at least three years of regular membership.
  • Monthly salary not exceeding ₹25,000/-.
  • Application must be submitted within six months of the marriage date.

Note: Workers must provide an undertaking that they haven’t taken this benefit previously beyond the allowed limit. For advance payment (3 days before marriage), establishment must certify the date and ensure marriage registration is submitted within 6 months.

Application Process

Online Registration:

Step 01: Visit the Labour Department Haryana website.
Step 02: Click “Welfare Board Beneficiary Login” and register via PPP (Family ID).
Step 03: Fill details and upload photo.
Step 04: Login with username and password.

Apply for Benefits:

Step 01: Login to the Welfare Board portal.
Step 02: Click on “Schemes” and select the Shagun scheme.
Step 03: Fill the form and submit.

Apply through Antyodaya-SARAL:

Visit the SARAL portal, register/login, search for the scheme, fetch family details via PPP, and submit the application with documents.

Documents Required

For Registration:

  • Aadhaar, Passport photo, PPP, Bank details, Ration Card.

For Scheme Benefits:

  • Employee ID/Certificate and Employer Certificate.
  • Salary Slip (Previous Month).
  • Marriage Registration Certificate (or undertaking if applying before marriage).
  • Self-undertaking, Ration Card, and Family ID.
