The scheme aims to provide quality early childhood development, care, and pre-primary education to children between the ages of 3 to 6 years. The scheme also emphasizes safe and secure infrastructure, including the provision of furniture, TLM, and child-friendly facilities in co-located Anganwadi centres operating within the premises of government schools in the state.

Eligibility

  • The applicant should be a boy or girl aged between 3 to 6 years.
  • The child (boy/girl) must not have completed 6 years of age as on the date of commencement of the academic session.

Application Process

Offline

The child must be taken to the respective co-located Anganwadi centre along with the Aadhaar card or birth certificate as proof of age, which is mandatory for admission/registration. Admission is free, and children can be enrolled anytime between the ages of 3 to 6 years. All children in the prescribed age group within the area served by Anganwadi centres/Balvatikas operating in government school premises must be registered.
