The scheme “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Yatra Scheme to visit the places connected with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s life in India” was launched by the Adi Dravidar Welfare and Scheduled Tribes Welfare, Union Territory of Puducherry. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes people for visiting historical places located in India connected with the life of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar. The total amount of expenses are fully borne by the Department.

Benefits

• Organizing a tour for a group of about 50 participants every year to four memorial places: Janam Bhoomi (Mhow), Deeksha Bhoomi (Nagpur), Mahaparinivaran Bhoomi (Delhi), and Chaitya Bhoomi (Mumbai).
• Expenses fully borne by the Department, including free boarding, lodging, and meals.
• Entrance fees and admission fees are covered.

Conditions

• Personal expenses are not covered.
• Participants must abide by rules; misrepresentation leads to repayment of expenses with interest.
• Participants can be stepped down during the tour in case of discrepancy.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be from SC/ST community recognized by UT of Puducherry.
• Native or resident for not less than 5 years.
• Age between 18 and 50 years.
• Free from contagious/communicable diseases.
• Only one person per family per year; lifetime limit of one participation.
• Family income not exceeding ₹2,00,000/- per annum.
• Priority based on seniority in age.

• Nativity, Residence, Caste, and Income Certificates from the Revenue Department.
• Copy Of Aadhaar Card.
• Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government Hospital/PHC.
• Self-Declaration regarding prolonged disease status.
