The scheme “Documentation And Research Assistantship Scheme” was launched by the Tiatr Academy under the Art, Culture and Museums Department, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to encourage documentation and digitisation of valuable Tiatr-related materials such as manuscripts, photos, handbills, advertisements, newspaper or magazine clippings, video and audio recordings that are with Tiatr artistes, tiatr lovers and institutions, addressing the high degree of risk that some of these materials may be lost to posterity if efforts are not undertaken to preserve and document them. The scheme provides assistance to possessors of Tiatr-related materials to organize and document their holdings.

Step 1: The interested applicant should take a printout of the prescribed format of the application form. The form requires details including name of artiste or documentation assistant, complete address, contact number, email identification, Aadhaar Card number, and specific aspect of Tiatr on which documentation can be done.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields including personal details, contact information, and specify the aspect of Tiatr on which documentation work can be undertaken. Attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required). Sign the application form and mention the date.
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to – Tiatr Academy of Goa, AS-1 / AS-4, Block A, 2nd Floor, Campal Trade Centre, Opposite Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji, Goa, India – 403001.
Step 1: Assignment of Tasks
Tiatr Academy of Goa will assign documentation tasks to candidates according to the requests received from the holders of materials. The academy will match documentation assistants with appropriate holders based on proximity and requirements.
Step 2: Work Execution and Certification
Documentation assistants will perform assigned tasks including compilation, organization, digitisation, and conversion of materials under the supervision and certification of the material holder. The quality and progress of work will be periodically reviewed by Tiatr Academy of Goa.
Step 3: Payment and Delivery
Upon completion and certification of work, documentation assistants will receive honorarium payment on clock-hour basis as determined by Tiatr Academy of Goa. A copy of digitised material will be provided to the holder on Digital Versatile Disc or Pen-drive, while Tiatr Academy of Goa will retain a similar copy for its uses.
