The scheme “Development of Manures & Fertilizers” component “Vermi-compost Units” aims to convert farm waste material into chemical-free resources for organic farming.

Benefits

• Construction/Installation: 75% subsidy limited to Rs. 1,950/- per cu.mt.
• Standard Cost: Rs. 2,600/- per cubic meter (90% construction, 10% earthworms).
• Unit Requirements: Above ground level, ant-proofed, with protection from sun and rain.
• Portable Units: HDPE beds/bins (100L+) receive 90% subsidy, max Rs. 7,500/- per farmer.

Eligibility

• Farmers and institutions in Goa with a valid Krishi card.

Application Process

Offline

• Get the application form from the Zonal Agriculture Officer (ZAO).
• Submit the filled form with all mandatory documents to the ZAO.

• Design and Estimates (Prior to construction).
