The scheme “Development of Manures & Fertilizers” was launched by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Goa. The “Assistance for Construction/Installation of Organic Manure Units” component aims to aid in the conversion of available on-farm organic waste into chemical-free organic manure.

Benefits

• Subsidy: 75% subsidy limited to Rs. 1,950/- per cu.mt.
• Standard Cost: Fixed at Rs. 2,600/- per cu.mt. (90% construction, 10% culture/materials).
• Unit Specifications: Pits can be made of bricks, laterite, RCC, etc., with protection from sun and rain.
• Portable Units: HDPE units receive 90% subsidy on standard cost, max Rs. 7,500/- per farmer.

Eligibility

• Any farmer in Goa possessing a Krishi card.
• Institutions and private limited companies involved in agriculture with a Krishi card.

Application Process

Offline

• Step 1: Visit the Zonal Agriculture Officer (ZAO) for the application form.
• Step 2: Fill mandatory fields and attach required documents.
• Step 3: Submit the form and documents to the ZAO.
