The scheme “Development of Manures & Fertilizers” was launched by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Goa. The component “Assistance for Construction/Installation of Biogas Plants” aims to manage livestock waste to produce renewable energy.

• 2 cu. m³: Cost Rs. 54,140/-; Subsidy Rs. 48,726/-.
• 3 cu. m³: Cost Rs. 79,480/-; Subsidy Rs. 71,532/-.
• 4 cu. m³: Cost Rs. 1,25,000/-; Subsidy Rs. 1,12,500/-.
• 5 cu. m³ & above: Cost Rs. 1,12,200/-; Subsidy Rs. 1,00,980/-.

Standard Cost & Subsidy (Constructed)

• 2 cu. m³: Cost Rs. 46,220/-; Subsidy Rs. 41,598/-.
• 3 cu. m³: Cost Rs. 52,070/-; Subsidy Rs. 46,863/-.
• 4 cu. m³: Cost Rs. 57,820/-; Subsidy Rs. 52,038/-.
• 6 cu. m³ & above: Cost Rs. 75,890/-; Subsidy Rs. 68,301/-.

Repair Assistance: 20% of standard cost after 6 years.
Promoter Incentive: ₹1,500 per unit for field staff.

Plant Size Determination

• 2 cu. m³: 2 cattle (30-40 kg dung/day).
• 3 cu. m³: 3 cattle (45-60 kg dung/day).
• 4 cu. m³: 4 cattle (60-80 kg dung/day).
• 6 cu. m³: 5 cattle (90-120 kg dung/day).

Eligibility

• Any farmer in Goa with a Krishi card.
• Maximum of 3 units per lifetime.

Application Process

• Visit Zonal Agriculture Officer (ZAO) to get the form.
• Submit filled form with documents to the ZAO.
