Launched on 6th February 2024 by the Forest Department, MP. The scheme provides compensation in case of death or injury of cattle due to attacks by wild animals. The incident must be reported within 48 hours.

Benefits

  • ₹1,000/- as immediate assistance for wild animal injury.
  • ₹30,000/- for medical expenses (normal injury).
  • ₹1,00,000/- for permanent disability and full treatment cost.

Eligibility

  • Cattle owner must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Cattle must be injured by a wild animal as defined under the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972.
  • Report must be made to a forest officer within 48 hours.
  • Dead cattle should not be removed from the site before verification.

Application Process

  • Application should be submitted to the nearest forest officer within 48 hours.
  • Appeals: First appeal within 30 days to the DFO; second appeal within 60 days to the Director of Forest Conservation.

  • Certificate or Panchnama issued by Doctor/Sarpanch/Panchayat Secretary
  • Bills related to treatment
