Launched in 1966-67, the “Chhatrawas” scheme provides free hostel accommodation for SC boys and girls. Students receive monthly financial support for food and other essentials.

Benefits

• Financial Support: ₹1460/- to ₹1500/- per month.
• Facilities: Free food/accommodation, sports equipment, cosmetic kits, and library access.
• Note: 90% of the food allowance goes to the joint mess account; 10% goes to the student’s personal account.

Eligibility

• Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
• Regular student enrolled in a recognized institution in MP.
• Native of Madhya Pradesh.

Application Process (Offline)

• Step 1: Visit Assistant Commissioner/District Coordinator, Tribal Affairs and SC Development.
• Step 2: Fill application form and attach self-attested documents.
• Step 3: Submit within the prescribed period and get a receipt.

• Proof of Residence and Samagra ID.
• Admission receipt/Student ID and Academic marksheets.
• Bank Account Details and Income Proof.
