The scheme “Cash Award to Women Players of the State” by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to promote participation of women in sports and recognize their achievements by awarding them cash incentives for outstanding performance in state-level and national-level competitions. Female athletes receive annual scholarships based on their rank and category.

Benefits

• First Position (State Level/ National Representation): ₹4,800/- per year
• Second Position (State Level): ₹3,600/- per year
• Third Position (State Level): ₹2,400/- per year

Eligibility

• The applicant should be a woman and a student.
• The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination.
• The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.
• The applicant should have secured first, second, or third position in individual or collective sports competitions held at the state level.
• The applicant should have represented Gujarat state in national-level sports competitions.
• The accomplishment must have occurred within the respective financial year.
