The scheme “Award of Scholarship to the Children who are Recipients of National Child Award for Exceptional Achievements and Other National / International Merit Awards” is a Scholarship Scheme by the Directorate of School Education, Union Territory of Puducherry.

Objectives

To recognize the talents of children who are recipients of the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievements and other National / International Merit Awards in different fields of Human Resource Development.

Benefits

• Scholarship: ₹6,000/- per annum per student.
• Mode: Disbursed directly via DBT/ECS to Aadhaar-seeded accounts.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be domiciled in the Union Territory of Puducherry.
• Recipient of the National Child Award or other National/International Merit Awards.
• Studying in a recognized Government or Private educational institution.

Application Process

Offline

• Step 1: Visit the Head of the Institution (HoI) of the respective school to request the application form.
• Step 2: Fill out the form and attach required documents (self-attested).
• Step 3: Submit the application to the HoI. The HoI forwards it to the Directorate of School Education, Puducherry.

Documents Required

• Stamp-sized Photograph and Aadhaar Card.
• Testimonials and relevant certificates of Exceptional Achievements.
• Residential/Domicile Certificate.
• For applicants outside UT, application must be countersigned by the competent educational authority of the respective State/UT.
