The “Award of Puducherry State Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme” initiated by the Directorate of School Education, Union Territory of Puducherry, ensures that no brilliant student is prevented by poverty from pursuing an academic career. Scholarships are awarded to students in 11th and 12th standards.

Benefits

• Slots: Approximately 90 scholarships for 11th and 90 for 12th Standard annually.
• Rate (10 months):
  Day Scholar: ₹60/month (₹600/year).
  Hosteller: ₹100/month (₹1,000/year).
• Disbursement: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility

• Citizen of India and Native of Puducherry (birth or 5 years residence).
• Studying in 11th or 12th standard with promotion to the next class.
• Family income not exceeding ₹75,000 per annum.
• 11th Std: Must have 60% marks in 10th standard.
• 12th Std: Must have 50% marks in 11th standard.
• Preference: Government schools, then Aided, then recognized Private schools (in order of merit).

• Step 1-3: Register a New Membership on the e-District Portal.
• Step 4-5: Login with your Username and Password.
• Step 6-7: Select the scheme from the department-wise list.
• Step 8: Fill out the application form and upload mandatory documents.
• Step 9: Declare details as true and submit. Note the application number for tracking.
