The scheme “Award of Pre-matric Scholarship to the Students Whose Parents Are Engaged in Unclean Occupation” by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, Government of Puducherry, provides scholarships to students to improve the status of the unprivileged society. This scheme provides scholarships irrespective of income and caste.

Benefits

₹1,850/- per annum.

Eligibility

• The applicant should be a student from Class 1st to Class 10th.
• The applicant should be a Native/Resident of the Union Territory of Puducherry.
• Either or both parents must be engaged in an unclean occupation (Scavenger/ Flayer/ Tanner).

Application Process

Offline

• Step 1: Visit the Office/ Sub-Office of the Adi Dravidar Welfare and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department to request the application form.
• Step 2: Fill in all mandatory fields and attach self-attested documents.
• Step 3: Submit the application form to the concerned authority.
• Step 4: Obtain a receipt or acknowledgment with a unique identification number.

Documents Required

• Residence-cum-nativity Certificate.
• Recent Passport-Size Photograph.
• Aadhaar Card.
• Bank Passbook.
• Certificate of Unclean Occupation (obtained from the employer).
• Educational Certificate/s.

Alternative ID: If Aadhaar is unavailable, provide PAN, Passport, Ration Card, Voter ID, etc.
