The scheme “Assistance to Scheduled Castes for Fisheries” with the component of “Fish Collection Cum Patrolling Boat” aims to increase fish production and provide employment to SC individuals in Gujarat. Financial assistance is provided for purchasing boats and transport vehicles.

Benefits

• Fish Collection/Patrolling Boat: 75% of unit cost (Unit cost ₹5,00,000; max assistance ₹3,75,000).
• Four-wheel transport vehicle: 75% of unit cost (Unit cost ₹6,00,000; max assistance ₹4,50,000).
• Three-wheel transport vehicle: 75% of unit cost (Unit cost ₹2,00,000; max assistance ₹1,50,000).

Assistance is disbursed once in a lifetime per component.

Eligibility

• Applicant must belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) and be 18+ years old.
• Must be involved in inland fisheries activities.
• Personal bank account and valid ID proof required.
