The “Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY)” component for “Construction of Plant/Storage of Minimum 30 Tonne Capacity” aims to modernize cold chain infrastructure to preserve fish health and enhance value chain efficiency. The scheme is implemented by the Commissioner of Fisheries with 60% contribution from the Government of India and 40% from the State Government.

Objective

To keep fish in healthy condition, modernize cold storage/ice plants, and deliver fresh fish in hygienic condition to consumers via insulated vehicles and vending centers, ensuring better returns to sellers.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a native of Gujarat state.
  • Must have a fishing boat registered under Real Craft software.
  • Must hold a fishing license.
  • Must complete online registration on the iKhedut Portal.
  • Must obtain in-principle approval before purchase.
  • Must have a personal bank account.

Application Process

Online: https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/

  • Registration: Visit the iKhedut Portal, click ‘Login’, then ‘Beneficiary Registration’. Select type (Farmer/Institutional), enter details, and verify via OTP.
  • Application: Login, click on ‘Schemes’ then ‘Agricultural Schemes’. Select the specific PMMSY scheme and click ‘Apply’. Update and confirm the application, then print the confirmation.
