NAMO Shree Scheme

Launched in 2024, the “NAMO Shree Scheme” by the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat, ensures pregnant women and lactating mothers receive proper nutritional support and encourages institutional deliveries. The scheme provides financial assistance of ₹12,000/- covering expenses from conception to delivery.

Benefits

Financial Assistance: ₹12,000/- for the first two live children, distributed in phases.

Disbursal for First Pregnancy:

₹5,000/- at registration (₹2,000 State + ₹3,000 Central).
₹2,000/- after six months of pregnancy (State).
₹3,000/- immediately after institutional delivery (State).
₹2,000/- after 14-week vaccination (Central).

Disbursal for Second Pregnancy:

₹2,000/- at registration.
₹3,000/- after six months of pregnancy.
₹6,000/- after institutional delivery (Central for girls, State for boys).
₹1,000/- after 14-week vaccination (State).

Mode of Disbursement: Direct transfer into the beneficiary’s bank account. Beneficiaries can also avail PMMVY and Janani Suraksha Yojana benefits.

Eligibility

Must be from Gujarat.
Must be a pregnant woman or lactating mother.
Categories: ST, SC, NFSA beneficiary, PMJAY beneficiary, BPL, E-Shram card holder, farmers, MGNREGA beneficiary.
Family income not more than ₹8,00,000/- per year.
Delivery must be in a government or private hospital.
Registration must occur at the first antenatal check-up.

Application Process

Offline:

Step 1: Visit the nearest Anganwadi Centre.
Step 2: Registration by ASHA or ANM worker during the first antenatal check-up.
Step 3: Final approval by the Women and Child Development Department.
Step 4: Benefit disbursement in installments via bank transfer.
*Submit a Certificate from the Medical Institution of Delivery for the final installment.
