Mukhymantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) is a scholarship scheme offered to economically weaker section students of Gujarat. It aims to help students who are unable to finance their education due to low family income, covering diploma, engineering, pharmacy, medical, and other graduation courses.

Features and Benefits
- Non-reserve students get financial help for books and equipment.
- Medical (GMERS) and dental students get up to Rs 10 lakh assistance over 5 years.
- 5-year age relaxation for government jobs for all categories.
- Training provided at centers for competitive exams.
- Monthly assistance of Rs 1,200 for 10 months if no hostel/facility is available in the region.
- Students with 80% in 10th/12th pursuing diploma get Rs 25,000/year or 50% fees.
- Free outfits and reading materials provided.
Scholarship Limits
Tuition Fee Grant (Max Limit):
- Medical (MBBS), Dental (BDS): Rs. 2,00,000/-
- Professional Graduation (BE, BTech, BPharm, etc): Rs. 50,000/-
- Diploma Courses: Rs. 25,000/-
- Other Graduation (Bcom, BSc, BA, BCA, BBA, etc): Rs. 10,000/-
Note: Applicable for Self-Finance Courses; Amount is 50% of annual Tuition Fee.
Hostel Grant: Rs. 1,200/month for students admitted in another Taluka.
Books/Instruments Grant:
- Medical/Dental: Rs. 10,000/-
- Engineering/Pharmacy/Architecture: Rs. 5,000/-
- Diploma: Rs. 3,000/-
Eligibility
- Diploma: 10th standard with minimum 80 percentile from Gujarat board.
- Bachelor’s: 12th standard (Science/General) with minimum 80 percentile from Gujarat board.
- Diploma to Degree: Minimum 65% in Diploma.
- Annual Family Income: Not more than Rs. 6,00,000/-.
- Income certificate is valid for three financial years.
Application Process
Online:
- Visit the official MYSY website.
- Click on login/register.
- Select “Fresh Application” (or login if already registered).
- Enter details: board, university, stream, passing year, admission year, enrollment number, mobile.
- Click on “Get Password”.
- Fill the registration form and attach documents.
- Submit the application.

- Income certificate.
- Aadhaar Card.
- Self-declaration form.
- Certificate from institute (New/Renewal).
- Self-declaration for non-IT returns.
- 10th and 12th mark sheets.
- Admission letter and fee receipt.
- Bank account proof.
- Hostel admission letter and fee receipt.
- Affidavit (Rs 20 stamp paper).
- Passport-size photo.
