The “Food Bill Assistance for Medical and Engineering Students of Nomadic Tribes and Denotified Tribes” scheme was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to reduce the burden of living expenses for students belonging to the Nomadic Tribes and Denotified Tribes (NTDNT) communities who are pursuing full-time Medical or Engineering courses within the state. Under this scheme, eligible students receive a monthly food allowance of ₹1,500/- for up to 10 months each academic year to help cover mess or canteen expenses.

Eligibility
- The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.
- The applicant should be a student.
- The applicant should belong to a Notified Tribe or De‑Notified Tribe (NTDNT) community of Gujarat.
- The applicant should be pursuing a Medical or Engineering degree course within the state of Gujarat.
- The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000/-.

Online Application:
- Step 1: Visit the Digital Gujarat Portal.
- Step 2: Click on ‘Register’ to access the registration form.
- Step 3: Enter Mobile Number, Email, Set Password, and click ‘Save’.
- Step 4: Login using User Name (Mobile No./Email ID) and Password.
- Step 5: Click on ‘My Profile’ to update mandatory information.
- Step 6: Click on ‘Update Profile’ and verify with OTP.
- Step 7: Under services, select ‘Scholarship Services’ and then click on ‘SC Scheme’.
- Step 8: Select the Financial Year and click ‘Change Financial Year’.
- Step 9: Select the scheme and click ‘Continue to Service’.
- Step 10: Fill in the application form and upload documents.
- Step 11: Click ‘Save as Draft’, agree to terms, and click ‘Confirm & Final Submit’.
Important Instructions
- Note 1: Photo uploading is mandatory.
- Note 2: Application is only complete when all sections are filled.
- Note 3: Only one application per applicant is acceptable.
- Note 4: Misleading information leads to rejection.
- Note 5: Documents must be scanned as per instructions.
- Note 6: No provision for institution change after submission.
- Note 7: Unreadable documents lead to rejection.
- Note 8: Outside students must fill online and submit to native district officer.
