The scheme “Coaching Assistance Scheme for Scheduled Caste Students for Pre-Exam Preparation like NEET, JEE, GUJCET” was launched by the Government of Gujarat during the year 2014-15. The scheme is being implemented by the Director of Scheduled Caste Welfare.

Benefits

Under this scheme, ₹20,000/- or the actual fee to be paid, whichever is less, is provided. The assistance is directly credited to the student’s bank account through DBT.

Eligibility

Criteria for Students:

  • Must belong to the Scheduled Caste category.
  • Must have 70% or more marks in Std. 10.
  • Must be studying in Std. 12 (Science stream).
  • No income limit for students.

Criteria for Institutes:

  • Must have more than 3 years of experience and a GST/PAN card.
  • Must have biometric attendance machines.
  • Faculty must have an M.Sc. in the relevant subject.
  • Registered under Mumbai Public Trust Act, Companies Act, or Shops and Establishment Act.

Application Process

Offline

  • Step 1: Visit the nearest Office of Deputy Director, Office of Scheduled Caste Welfare.
  • Step 2: Fill the application form and attach mandatory documents.
  • Step 3: Submit the form to the concerned office.
  • Step 4: After verification, assistance is credited via DBT.

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Educational Certificates and Caste Certificate
  • Ration Card
  • 12th certificate regarding school study
  • Cancelled cheque/Bank passbook
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Certificate from the coaching institute
