Launched in 2003-04, the scheme “Cluster Development Scheme” by the Industries & Mines Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of artisans in the handloom and handicraft sector through cluster-based development approach. The scheme provides assistance to clusters of minimum 25 artisans or more.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be part of a cluster with minimum 25 artisans working in one place.
  • Must be engaged in handloom and handicraft sector activities in Gujarat.
  • Must be classified as a Micro or Small Enterprise.
  • Must be willing to participate in collective cluster activities.

Application Process

Offline

  • Step 1: Approach implementing agencies (Cottage Commissionerate, NID, NIFT, or Nodal Agency Gujarat Mahila Khadi Rashtriya Gramin Trust).
  • Step 2: Fill in mandatory fields and attach documents.
  • Step 3: Submit application for specific assistance (Training, CFC, etc.).
  • Step 4: Request an acknowledgement receipt.

Documents Required

  • Cluster Formation Certificate and List Of Participating Artisans.
  • Identity Proof (Aadhaar/Voter ID) and Address Proof.
  • Business Registration Certificate (If Applicable).
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Project Proposal (For Specific Assistance).
  • MSME Registration Certificate.
  • Production Evidence and Skill Certificates for verification.
