The scheme “Assistance to Scheduled Castes for Fisheries” supports inland fisheries by providing assistance for fish seed rearing, stocking, boats, nets, and transport vehicles specifically for SC fishermen.

Benefits

• Fish Seed Rearing: Assistance ₹90 to ₹460 per 1000 units based on growth stage and recovery.
• Seed Stocking: 100% assistance for fish/prawn seed and transportation.
• Boat & Net: 50% assistance for Tin (max ₹7,500) or F.R.P. (max ₹15,000) units.
• Transport Vehicles: 75% subsidy for Three-wheel (max ₹1.5L), Four-wheel (max ₹4.5L), or Patrolling boats (max ₹3.75L).
• Sale Equipment: 50% subsidy (max ₹7,500).
• Training: ₹1,250 stipend for 10-day training.

Eligibility

• Individual Fisherman belonging to Schedule Caste (SC) category in Gujarat.
• Above 18 years of age with a personal bank account.
• Reservoir monopolies/SHGs involved in fisheries are also eligible.
