The scheme “Assistance for Protected Cultivation” by the Agriculture and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat aims to promote modern, climate-resilient horticulture practices by providing financial support for protected cultivation infrastructure like mulching, nursery development, and plug nurseries.

Benefits

• Plastic Cover (Mulching): ₹32,000/- per hectare (General); ₹36,800/- (Hilly). 50% expenditure limit.
• Nursery Development: Structure assistance up to ₹3.5 lakh. Starter Kit: ₹50,000/-. Total assistance up to 65% or ₹2,27,500/-.
• Shed Net & Polyhouse: Coverage 500-4000 sq.m. Assistance as per empanelled rates.
• Plug Nursery: Private sector: 50% or ₹15,00,000/- per hectare. Public sector: ₹30,00,000/- per hectare.

Eligibility

• Resident of Gujarat.
• The applicant must be a farmer.
