The scheme “Assistance for Planting Vegetable Crops for Raw and Ripe Mandap” introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, aims to offer financial support to farmers across Gujarat for constructing vegetable trellises (mandaps) using wooden/bamboo supports and GI/plastic wires.

Benefits

• Raw Mandap (Tomato/Chilli, etc.): General: 50% subsidy (up to ₹26,000/ha); SC/ST: 75% subsidy (up to ₹39,000/ha).
• Semi-ripe Mandap (Vine vegetables): General: 50% subsidy (up to ₹40,000/ha); SC/ST: 75% subsidy (up to ₹60,000/ha).
• Ripe Mandap (Vine vegetables): General: 50% subsidy (up to ₹80,000/ha); SC/ST: 75% subsidy (up to ₹1,20,000/ha).

Support Details: Max area 2 hectares; includes 1600 wooden/bamboo poles per hectare and 400 kg wire. Recommended spacing: 2.50 x 2.50 meters.

• The applicant must be residing in Gujarat.
