The scheme “Jeevanam Self-Employment Scheme to Dependents of Crime Victims” was launched by the Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala. It provides financial aid to dependents as well as victims of crime who struggle to make a living, including those with serious injuries or families of deceased earning members. The goal is to mitigate the devastating financial impact of crime on households.

Benefits

Financial assistance of ₹20,000/- as one-time assistance, transferred to the applicant’s bank account.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a native and resident of Kerala.
  • Applicant must be seriously injured in a crime OR a dependent (Wife/Husband/Unmarried child) of the victim.
  • Annual family income must not exceed ₹1,00,000/-.
  • Application must be made within 5 years of the crime.

Note: Selected beneficiaries must execute an agreement on ₹200/- stamp paper.

Registration and Application through SUNEETHI portal: Register once, log in, update personal and bank details, select scheme, and submit.
