Launched in 2001, the “Nalkoop Khanan Yojana” aims to increase irrigation by harnessing underground water for SC/ST farmers.

Benefits

  • Tube Well Digging: 75% subsidy of unit cost (max ₹25,000).
  • Pump Installation: 75% subsidy for submersible pump (max ₹15,000).

Note: Effective in all MP except Shajapur and Indore districts.

Eligibility

  • Native of Madhya Pradesh and a farmer.
  • Must belong to SC or ST category.
  • Must own agricultural land in the state.

Application Process (Offline)

Eligible farmers can apply at the office of the Deputy Director, Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department in their respective district.

Documents Required

  • Passport-size photo.
  • Aadhaar card.
  • Domicile certificate.
  • Caste certificate.
  • Land records (Proof of agricultural land).
  • Bank passbook.
