The Madhya Pradesh State Government started the “Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana” to provide financial assistance to needy girls, widows (Kalyani), and abandoned sisters at the time of their marriage.

Benefits

  • To the Bride (Account Payee Cheque): Rs. 11,000/-
  • Marriage Gift: Rs. 38,000/-
  • Organizing Body: Rs. 6,000/- per girl provided to the mass marriage organizing body.

Eligibility

  • The guardian of the bride/groom should be a native of Madhya Pradesh.
  • The bride must have completed the minimum legal age for marriage (18 years for girls, 21 years for men).
  • Includes abandoned women who have been legally divorced.
  • No income restriction applies.
  • CRITICAL: Benefits are only available for participating in organized mass marriage programs on scheduled dates. Single marriages are not eligible.

Application Process

The process is Offline.

  • Applicants must visit the Gram Panchayat/Janpad Panchayat (Rural) or Nagar Nigam/Nagar Panchayat/Nagar Parishad (Urban).
  • Fill out the application form and submit it with necessary documents to the respective local office.
  • An inquiry committee will examine eligibility criteria.
  • Eligible and ineligible applications will be entered into the marriage portal.
  • The local body must complete processing 7 days prior to the mass marriage program.
  • Acceptance or rejection orders will be generated through the portal.

  • Aadhaar Card of the applicant.
  • Voter ID Card.
  • Passport-size photo.
  • Mobile number.
