The objective of the Mukhyamantree Baal Aasheervaad Yojana is providing financial and educational support to children above 18 years of age (aftercare) as they transition from childcare institutions, and providing financial assistance (sponsorship) to orphan children up to the age of 18 years.

Benefits

AfterCare (Age 18+)

  • Internship/Employment: ₹5,000/month during internship (max 1 year).
  • Vocational Training: Free training in Polytechnic/ITI/Nursing etc. + ₹5,000/month (max 2 years).
  • Higher Education: Financial assistance for NEET/JEE/CLAT (₹5,000-₹8,000/month) and full fees fixed by regulatory commission.

Sponsorship (Under 18)

  • Economic Assistance: ₹4,000/month deposited in joint account (minimum 1 year).
  • Medical Aid: Ayushman card prepared for each child.

Eligibility

For After Care: Residing in childcare institution for 5 years. (Exemption for orphans/abandoned). For Sponsorship: Below 18 years, parents deceased, living with relative/guardian.

Application Process

Offline

  • After Care: Superintendents identify children aged 17+. Cases approved by committee.
  • Sponsorship: District Child Protection Officer identifies families. Home study and social investigation reports prepared. Child Welfare Committee declares child in need of care.
