The “Financial Assistance to Non-Pensioner World War-II Veterans and Their Widows” scheme was launched by the Home Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to provide financial aid to ensure a dignified livelihood for world War-II veterans who are non-pensioners and their lawful wives.

Benefits

• Financial Assistance: ₹8,000 per month is provided to non-pensioner world War-II veterans and their lawful widows.
• Mode of Disbursement: Amount is directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account through the District Sainik Welfare Office.
• Frequency: Disbursed monthly, typically within one week of verification.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
• The applicant must be a non-pensioner World War-II veteran (served 1 Sept 1939 – 14 Aug 1945) or his lawful widow.
• The veteran must have been discharged due to demobilization after the war.
• The applicant must not be receiving any pension from defense services or other sources.
• Upon the widow’s death, no other heirs are eligible.
