Description

The scheme by the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Goa, provides operational grants for running residential facilities or halfway homes to offer shelter, food, and medical care for Persons with Disabilities.

Benefits

Operational Grant (Up to ₹4,00,000/- per month):

• Medical Officer/Councilor/Therapist: ₹60,000/- pm.
• Administrative Staff (Manager, Clerk, 6 Attendants): ₹1,34,000/- pm.
• Administrative Expenses (Rent/Water/Elec): ₹46,000/- pm.
• Food Expenses (for 20 inmates): ₹1,20,000/- pm.
• Medical Expenses: ₹40,000/- pm.

One-time Grant:

• ₹50,000/- for furniture/utensils every 5 years.

Disbursement

• Provided on a 75% reimbursement basis.
• Released in two installments per year.
• Second installment requires a Utilization Certificate (Form-12A).

Eligibility

• Registered voluntary organizations, NGOs, or Government Institutions engaged in PwD empowerment.
• Must bear 25% of the proposed cost.
• NGOs must have at least 20 inmates and 1 year of field experience.
• Must be registered under Section 50 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Offline

• Step 1: Print the application form.
• Step 2: Fill mandatory fields and attach self-attested documents.
• Step 3: Submit to: The Director of the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Porvorim, Goa.

Documents Required

• Field Experience Report (1 year).
• Registration Certificate under PwD Act 2016.
• Audited Statement of Accounts (last 1 year).
• List of inmates and details of amenities.
• Staff details and Bank Passbook copy.
• Affidavit regarding no other similar grants.
• For Reimbursement: Bills, vouchers, and Utilization Certificate.
