Description

The scheme “Scheme for Goa Rajya Vidnyanik Puraskar (GRVP)” was launched by the Department of Science & Technology & Waste Management (DS&T & WM), Government of Goa. The scheme aims to introduce an award to be given to Goan Innovators/Scientists who have implemented their ideas to innovations and also achieved excellence in the field of Science and Technology and Innovation.

Benefits

  • Cash prize of ₹2,00,000/- per award.
  • Three awards are given in each financial year.
  • The awards are categorized as one each for Innovation, Environment, and Societal impact.
  • The cash prize shall be directly deposited in the beneficiary’s Bank Account.

Conditions

  • The beneficiary must submit a pre-receipt for the said amount to the Director, DS&T & WM.
  • The Goa State Innovation Council (GSInC) should forward results declared by the Expert Committee for the release of award money.

Eligibility

  • The scheme is designed for Students, Startups, Innovators, Research Faculty, and Scientists.
  • The applicant must be a resident of Goa for the last 15 years.
  • The project must relate to hardware or software-based product innovation.
  • The applicant must provide a Letter of Intent (LOI) if the proposed idea/project is associated with the Industry or the Government.
  • The applicant must be registered under the Virtual Innovation Register (VIR) as a New Idea.
  • The applicant can avail of this scheme only once.
  • Focus sectors: Green technology, Clean energy, Industrially utilizable smart materials, Waste to Wealth, Affordable Healthcare, Water & Sewage Management, Renewable Energy Sources, Electric Vehicles, Smart Cities, Agri-tech, Meditech, Health Care Tech and Digital media, ITES.

Application Process

Online

  • Step 1: Access the Virtual Innovation Register Portal and register.
  • Step 2: Submit the Online Application and Required Details. Upload all mandatory documents.
  • Step 3: Application Scrutiny and Shortlisting by the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
  • Step 4: Final Round Presentation before the Expert Committee.
  • Step 5: Declaration of Results and Release of Award Money via direct bank transfer.

  • Certificate From Competent Authority (Proving 15 Years Residency).
  • Letter Of Intent (LOI) (if applicable).
  • Innovators Resume/Bio.
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement.

  • Letter Of Recommendations.
  • Documents Supporting The Application (technological inventiveness, societal impact, etc.).
