Launched by the Directorate of Art and Culture, Goa, this scheme encourages young talents to reach high standards under renowned teachers or institutions outside the state or country.
Benefits
- Education outside Goa (National): Max assistance up to ₹1,20,000/- or actual cost.
- Education outside India (International): Max assistance up to ₹3,00,000/- or actual cost.
- Disbursement follows government approval based on Sub-Committee recommendations.
Conditions
- Student must maintain 75% attendance (where regular exams don’t exist).
- Assistance for a maximum of five years (3 initially, 2 upon review).
- Review reports are taken every six months.
- Scholarship recovered if course not completed or attendance not maintained.
Eligibility
- Field: Music, dance, theatre, fine arts, folk arts, photography, etc.
- Applicant must be born in Goa and a resident for at least 15 years.
- Age limit: Not above 35 years.
- Only one student per family per financial year.
- Annual family income must be within government-fixed limits.
Application Process
Offline
- Step 1: Monitor local newspapers for the advertisement inviting applications.
- Step 2-3: Submit application to the Director of Art and Culture with documents, including disclosure of external grants or personal contribution.
- Step 4-5: Applications are scrutinized by a Sub-Committee. Following government approval, funds are disbursed.

- Passport size photograph.
- Birth certificate or School Leaving certificate.
- Residence Certificate.
- Reports of previous training/competitions.
- Income Certificate.
- Recommendation letter from a recognized person/institution in the field.
- Details of external financial grants.
- For continuation: Attendance Certificate and passing certificates.
