Description

This scheme by the Department of Fisheries provides a subsidy equivalent to the actual VAT paid on H.S.D. Oil for registered fishing vessels, subject to government-decided quotas.

Benefits

Reimbursement of the actual VAT paid. The total industry quota is restricted to 20,000 K.L. per financial year.

Eligibility

  • Vessel must be registered under the M.S. Act.
  • Possess valid Net and Fishing Licenses for the year.
  • Not a defaulter or violator of Marine Fishing Regulation acts.
  • Oil must be purchased from Registered Fisheries Co-operative outlets or Government-approved outlets.

Application Process

Offline
Step 1: Obtain application format from the Department of Fisheries, Panaji or BDO offices.
Step 2: Submit filled form with supporting oil bills and licenses.
Step 3: Grievances can be registered with the Grievance Redressal Officer or via email at dir-fish.goa@nic.in.

  • Statement of HSD Oil consumed with invoices/bills.
  • VRC Copy and Fish Catch Data.
  • Fishing Vessel and Net License Certificates.
  • VAT report from Oil Company.
  • Fishermen Corpus Fund Form.
