Description

The “Goa Tribal’s Employment Generation Programme Scheme” provides financial assistance and training to educated unemployed tribal individuals (18-45 years) to start manufacturing, service, or trade enterprises.

Benefits

• Subsidy of 40% on the loan amount (loan covers 95% of project cost).
• Interest Rate: 4% per annum.
• Compulsory 7-day entrepreneurship training.
• Project Cost Limits: Manufacturing (₹25L), Service (₹15L), Trade (₹15L).
• Repayment: 60 to 120 EMIs with 3-6 months moratorium.

Eligibility

• Unemployed member of a notified Tribal Community in Goa.
• Age: 18 to 45 years.
• Education: Class 4th pass (relaxable).
• Resident of Goa for at least 15 years.
• Not a defaulter with any financial institution.

Collateral Requirements

• Up to ₹2,00,000: Personal guarantee.
• ₹2,00,000 to ₹6,00,000: One or more third-party guarantors (Govt employees or property owners).
• Above ₹6,00,000: Immovable property documents of the guarantor.

Application Process

Offline
Step 1: Visit the Department of Tribal Welfare, 5th Floor, Patto, Panaji.
Step 2: Fill application and project report forms in duplicate.
Step 3: Submit with quotations for assets and required NOCs.

Documents Required

• Caste Certificate and 15 years Residence Certificate.
• Birth and Education Certificates.
• Quotations of assets from authorized dealers.
• Trade License/NOC from Panchayat/Municipality.
• Photos of borrower and guarantor.
• Bank passbook and PAN card.
