Description

Launched in 2012, this scheme by the Department of Industries, Government of Goa, provides financial assistance to traditional bakers (poders) for purchasing maida used in producing Pao, Undho, Poie, and Kakon.

Benefits (Daily Maida Consumption)

  • Category A (<= 50kg): ₹4 per kg subsidy.
  • Category B (51-100kg): ₹4/kg for first 50kg, ₹2/kg for remaining.
  • Category C (101-150kg): ₹4/kg for first 50kg, ₹2/kg for next 50kg, and ₹1/kg for the rest.

Note: No subsidy beyond 150kg per day. Disbursed quarterly.

Eligibility

  • Must be registered with The All Goa Bakers Association.
  • Family must be in the traditional bread business for at least 20 years.
  • Applicant must be a Goan resident by birth.
  • Must be recommended by the All Goa Bakers Association.

Application Process

Offline
Step 1: Submit Annexure I with required documents and an affidavit to GHRSSIDC.
Step 2: For quarterly claims, submit maida purchase bills with Annexure II within 30 days of the quarter’s end.

Documents Required

  • Birth Certificate and Aadhaar Card.
  • Bakers Association membership ID and Recommendation.
  • Raw material purchase bills for previous 6 months.
  • Proof of 20 years in business (SSI Registration, Weights & Measures license, or Panchayat certification).
