“Financial Assistance to Purchase/Construct New Fishing Craft less than 26 feet for Fishing in Inland Waters of Goa” is a scheme by the Department of Fisheries, Government of Goa. The scheme has been introduced to uplift traditional Fishermen by providing a subsidy on the construction/purchase of Fishing Craft less than 26 feet. The applications are accepted only in offline mode.

Benefits

• General Category: 50% subsidy, limited to ₹30,000, on a unit cost of ₹60,000 (excluding GST).
• SC/ST/Woman Category: 60% subsidy, limited to ₹36,000, on a unit cost of ₹60,000 (excluding GST).

Note: The benefit can be availed every 7 years for the replacement of an existing canoe.

Eligibility

• The applicant should be a traditional fisherman by birth or profession.
• The applicant should be a resident of Goa.
• The Fishing Canoe must be registered with the Department of Captain of Ports, Goa.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: Request the form from the department for ₹50/-.
Step 2: Fill the form, paste photograph, and attach self-attested documents.
Step 3: Submit to the Department of Fisheries, Panaji, or official at BDO/Sub-Offices.

1. Original Invoice for Purchase/Construction of New FRP boat.
2. Vessel Registration Certificate from Captain of Ports.
3. River Gill Net Registration and License Certificates.
4. Undertaking and Aadhaar Card copy.
5. OBC (Kharvi) or Profession Certificate from Mamlatdar/Chief Officer/BDO.
6. ST/SC Certificate (if applicable).
7. Mandate Form and Bank Passbook.
8. Bills from Authorized Boat Dealer.
