The scheme “Merit Cum Means Based Scholarship” aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi) to pursue professional and technical courses.

Benefits

  • For Hostellers: ₹30,000 per annum (₹10,000 maintenance allowance + up to ₹20,000 course fees).
  • For Day Scholars: ₹25,000 per annum (₹5,000 maintenance allowance + up to ₹20,000 course fees).
  • Full course fees reimbursed for listed institutions.
  • Funds are transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility

  • Belong to a notified minority community.
  • Resident of Haryana.
  • Scored at least 50% marks in the previous qualifying examination.
  • Annual family income not exceeding ₹2,50,000.
  • 30% reservation for girl students.

Application Process

Online via National Scholarship Portal (NSP):

Step 1: Go to NSP and click “Apply Now”. Accept terms and continue.
Step 2: Fill in the Registration Form to get Application ID and password.
Step 3: Login with OTR. Reset password and navigate to the Dashboard.
Step 4: Click “Application Form”, fill in details, upload documents, and click “Final Submit”.
