The scheme “Financial Assistance to Orphan Children of Ex-Servicemen” is implemented by the Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department, Government of Haryana. Financial assistance of ₹3,000/‐ per month is granted to eligible orphan children of Ex-Servicemen (ESM).

Benefits

₹3,000/- per month with a ₹400/- annual increase every November (w.e.f. 1.11.2017).

Eligibility

  • Bonafide resident of Haryana.
  • Orphan child of an ex-serviceman.
  • Age below 21 years.
  • Unmarried and unemployed.
  • Not receiving other state assistance (Family pension from GoI is allowed).

Application Process

  • Step 1: Apply via Antyodaya-SARAL portal.
  • Step 2: Verify using Family ID.
  • Step 3: Guardians must apply for minor children; major children apply themselves.
  • Step 4: Submit required certificates (Legal guardianship, Birth, Death certificates).

Documents Required

  • ESM Identity Card, Family ID, Aadhaar
  • Death Certificates of both parents (signed by competent authority)
  • Legal Guardianship certificate (for minors)
  • Non-Employment Certificate (for majors)
  • Affidavit of relationship and status (unmarried/unemployed)
  • NOC from Social Welfare Dept
