The scheme “Financial Assistance to Institutions/Societies Belonging to Scheduled Castes/Backward Classes” was launched by the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes, Government of Haryana. The objective is to provide financial assistance to institutions/societies to construct, complete, repair, or renovate buildings used for community social or educational purposes and provide basic facilities.

Purpose of Financial Assistance

  • Completion, repair, or construction of community buildings/institutions.
  • Construction of recreation centers or halls.
  • Setting up libraries.
  • Purchase of TV/listening sets and educational equipment.

Benefits

  • Assistance up to ₹2.00 lakhs can be sanctioned by the Minister in charge.
  • The Chief Minister may sanction grants exceeding ₹2.00 lakhs in genuine cases.
  • Additional funds can be sanctioned for infrastructure or amenities.

Note: Grants must be utilized within one year. Unspent balances must be returned.

Eligibility

  • Institutions/Societies must be registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, or the Indian Trust Act.
  • The society must own or be allotted at least 100 sq yards of land.
  • Second-time grants are available only after five years and submission of all previous Utilization Certificates.

Application Process

Offline:

Step 01: Download the application form from the department website.
Step 02: Attach attested copies of registration certificate, land record, site plan, building map, and tentative expenditure.
Step 03: Submit the filled application to the District Welfare Office.

Post-Application Process:

The District Welfare Officer verifies the facts and sends the proposal to the Director. Following the Social Welfare Minister’s approval, the amount is disbursed via bank draft through the District Welfare Officer.

  • Land registration proof.
  • Annual accounts/balance sheet.
  • Site plan and architectural drawing.
  • Bank account details and PAN Card.
