The scheme “Financial Assistance to Destitute Children Scheme (FADCS)” was launched by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Haryana. This scheme pays financial assistance to parents/guardians of children up to the age of 21 years who are deprived of parental support or care due to the death, continued absence (last 2 years), imprisonment (minimum 1 year), or physical/mental incapacity of a parent.

Benefits

Rate of Allowance: ₹1850/- per month per child, subject to a maximum of two children per family (w.e.f. 01.04.2023).

Eligibility

• Domicile of Haryana and residing in the state.
• Child must be under 21 years of age.
• Family income from all sources should not exceed ₹2,00,000/- per annum.
• Deprivation of support due to death, absence of father for 2 years, imprisonment of parent, or physical/mental incapacity.

Exclusion

• Guardians/parents employed by Government/Local bodies or drawing a family pension are not eligible.
• Those receiving income from provident funds or annuities are ineligible.

Application Process

Offline/Online:

Step 01: Visit the District Social Welfare Office (DSWO) or download the application form from the official website.
Step 02: Fill the form and attach essential documents.
Step 03: Get the form attested by the concerned authority as mentioned in the proforma.
Step 04: Submit the form to the DSWO of your Block/District.

Documents Required

• Age Proof: Certificate from school, certificate from Gazetted Officer, or affidavit from First Class Magistrate.
• Residential Proof: Ration Card, Voter Card, or Voter list issued prior to 5 years.
• Other Documents: Aadhaar Card (Optional), Bank Passbook photocopy, Family ID.
• Deprivation Proof: Death certificate, guardian certificate, or destitute certificate.
• Income certificate.
