About the Scheme

The scheme is implemented by the Uttarakhand Space Application Centre (USAC) to strengthen technical capacity in Remote Sensing and GIS applications through training and research initiatives.

Benefits

• Research Fellowships: Selected researchers (JRFs/SRFs) receive stipends/HRA as per funding regulations. Training is free.
• Student Internships: Free training for postgraduate and undergraduate students.
• Government Personnel: Capacity building for line departments with no participation fees.
• Workshops: Free one-day training for schools and colleges, including meals and transport.

Eligibility

• Postgraduate degree holders (preferably Science) with First Division.
• Final year postgraduate students from recognized universities.
• Personnel from Central and State Government departments.

Application Process

Offline

• For projects: Walk-in interviews are announced on www.u-sac.in.
• For internships: Request letters from the University (Vice-Chancellor/Dean) must be sent to the Director, U-SAC.
• For departments: Requests are sent through the Head of Department.

Documents Required

• Aadhaar Card and Mobile Number.
• Educational Certificates and Academic documents.
• Experience/Training certificates (if any).
• Bank details and Caste certificate (if applicable).
