About the Scheme

The scheme “Student Program Under AcSIR” by the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Government of India aims to promote high-quality interdisciplinary research by enrolling eligible postgraduate candidates into PhD programmes. The goal is to prepare future leaders in the geoscience domain of the Himalayas.

Eligibility

  • Postgraduate degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) in any discipline of Earth Sciences.
  • Valid national-level fellowship: NET-JRF (UGC/CSIR), INSPIRE Fellowship, or equivalent.

Application Process

Online

  1. Visit the official portal: https://acsiriphd.emli.in/ and sign up.
  2. Log in and complete the application form.
  3. Upload mandatory documents in the specified format.
  4. Choose the relevant Admission Route (Fresh Candidate, AcSIR PhD Student, NIF Employee, or Industry Sponsored).
  5. Review and submit the application. There is no application fee.

  • Passport Size Photo and Signature
  • Aadhar ID
  • 10th, 12th, Graduation, and Post Graduation Marksheets and certificates
  • Fellowship letter
  • Cover letter and Resume/CV (Max 3 pages)
  • PWD certificate (if applicable)
  • Experience letter (if applicable)
