The scheme “Sanskrit Chhaatr Pratiyogita” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy, Haridwar. It aims to promote Sanskrit education by organizing drama, song, dance, and debate competitions for junior (Class 6-10) and senior (Class 11-PG) students.

Benefits

Prizes are distributed based on level and event type:

  • Block Level: Team (₹300 – ₹800), Individual (₹300 – ₹500)
  • District Level: Team (₹400 – ₹2,000), Individual (₹400 – ₹800)
  • State Level: Team (₹6,000 – ₹25,000), Individual (₹2,000 – ₹4,000)

Eligibility

  • Institutional students from Class 6 to PG in Uttarakhand schools/colleges.
  • Students in B.Ed., Ph.D., or Diploma courses are not eligible.

Application Process

Offline: Competitions are held annually (September–November). Students are recommended by their principals to the Block Education Officer for participation. First and second-place winners advance through the levels.
