The scheme “Sanitary Napkin Distribution” is an initiative under the National Health Mission (NHM) implemented by the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote menstrual hygiene and prevent reproductive tract infections among adolescent girls aged 10 to 19 years in Uttarakhand.
Under this scheme, to prevent reproductive tract infections and inculcate menstrual hygiene habits, sanitary napkins are provided to adolescent girls by ASHA workers at a nominal cost of ₹6/-.
All girls aged between 10 to 19 years residing in Uttarakhand are eligible under this scheme.
Offline: Sanitary napkins are available with all ASHA workers across Uttarakhand.
No documents are required to avail the benefits of this scheme.
