The scheme “Research and Development” is implemented by the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST) under the Science and Technology, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to encourage scientific research to address the state’s problems by providing grants and technical support to scientists, researchers, and academic institutions across the state.

Benefits

Grants are provided to promote research aimed at addressing various problems in the interest of the state through scientific research. Academic scientists from government or private institutions and research scholars across the state are eligible.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
• The applicant must be a scientist/researcher.

Application Process

Offline

Submit the proposal to the council in the prescribed format. It is presented at a Project Evaluation Committee meeting. Based on recommendations, documents are forwarded to the proposed institution through the President of the institution.

Documents Required

• Documents are required to be submitted as per the guidelines of UCOST.
